SCRIPTURE: Mark 14:54 Peter followed him from afar into the court of the sacrificial ruler; he sat with the servants and warmed himself by the fire. TODAY'S THOUGHT: When a person is far from God, he becomes vulnerable to sin. Moving away from God is the enemy’s major strategy to lead people into sin. When you are far from God, you are more prone to temptation. From Scripture, we understand that Peter's journey to denying Jesus began when he followed him from afar. It was this distance that ultimately led to his epic denial of Christ. Mark 14:54 tells us: "Peter followed him from afar into the court of the sacrificial sovereign. He sat with the servants and warmed himself by the fire. »As the persecution intensified, Peter began to follow Jesus from afar and soon warmed himself up in the enemy's fire. It was at this distance that a servant recognized him and said, "I saw you among them." »And Peter's response was something like, "Me?" You're kidding me. »The Bible emphasizes that Peter sat with the servants and warmed himself in the enemy's fire."He sat with the servants and warmed himself by the fire. »This illustrates a key point: Peter had lost his own spiritual fire and was seeking heat from the wrong source. How could he warm himself to the enemy's fire? Beloved, may you never find yourself in a place where you need the fire of the enemy to back you up. Don't let jobs, circumstances or temptations pull you away from God because soon you may lose sight of the Master. My advice is: Always maintain a close and intimate relationship with God. Remember this: When a person is far from God, they become easily vulnerable to sin. MISSION :1. Refuse and resist the temptation to lose your grip on God.2. Embrace the discipline of communion and continuous intimacy with God. PRAYER: Father, I ask that You deliver me from the tragedy of worshiping You from afar. Draw me closer to you o Lord in Jesus name. QUOTE: Don't let anyone recruit you to destroy another person's character.
